The Green River Plantation home was built in 1807 and is listed on the “National Historic Register”. The Plantation is now a private residence that is owned and operated by the Cantrell Family. The Cantrells open their home year round for Weddings, Receptions, Tours, Bed & Breakfast and many other events. The home itself is not open daily during certain hours, a reservation is needed to review the home for any of our services. Our contact information is listed on the About Us page of this website. Below is a list of our basic pricing for the weddings and how this service is set up.
Here at the Green River Plantation our goal is to provide a complete service for your Wedding day. We offer different locations for the Ceremonies and Receptions based on the size of each event. The locations; the Front Lawn space, Open Pavillion, Tea Room, Drawing Room in the Main House or Gate House are completely set up for each event. You may choose to upscale any of the locations, but the concept is to have each area completed for you and then if your budget needs allow you to upscale, then you may do so. This may mean simply bringing in additional florial items or live music performers, maybe adding an addition to our centerpieces.
The wedding fee does include may services, and the choice is up to you weather you wish to upscale or alter the arrangement. The cost or wedding fee itself is based on how many guest are attending (this is the guests only, not the bridal party) The final head count which will determine the structure of the wedding fee must be finalized no later then 48 hours before the event. If you are having a Saturday event, then the final head count must be called in before Thursday. For example, lets say you have 100 guests then you would fall into the 75-100 people range, that figure is $2875.00. These prices do not include the food for the reception or the rehearsal dinner. "What does the wedding fee include?... "
The wedding fee covers many different services; The rental of the grounds and facility, which there are three locations to choose from for the days events.
(The outside lawn space, The open air Pavillion and the Gate House Facilty) We supply all the chairs for the ceremony and reception areas, they are set up and ready for each event. The decorations for the ceremony area are as follows; Two plant stands are provided, which we supply two live ferns for. (Additional plant stands are available if needed, as well as register stands, unity candle holders, and/or table top portrait easel) On the front lawn there is a beautiful setup of white columns decorated with artificial flowers, tool and/or ivy. (Many options are available to work with your color scheme; similar to the picture below) A director is also included in the pricing. The director is here the night of rehearsal and the wedding day, and will assist you with any questions you may have. We also supply a sound system and someone to play pre-recorded music for the rehearsal and the day of the wedding. The ceremony music is started about 30 minutes before the service.
Changing areas are provided for both the bride and groom with their attendants. The Wedding Fee also covers items in the reception areas. All tables and chairs, tablecovers, glassware (with the exception of stemware, there is a service fee for these items) flatware, napkins, set up and clean up of both the ceremony and reception areas.

The open air pavillion offers a great location for the ceremony. We know that planning an outdoor wedding can be unnerving at times, but with the advancement of the weather systems, moving a wedding to a safe location a day before is always the wise choice.
